    Leonardo da Vinci was a world renowned painter. The painting of a beautiful lady, Mona Lisa is his masterpiece painting, which brought for him universal fame as an artist.

    Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in Vinci city of Italy, but settled in Florence, the centre of the Italian renaissance. He was a nature lover from his childhood and used to draw and paint birds and animals. When he grew up, he also distinguished himself as an inventor, engineer as well as naturalist. He acquired great eminence as a painter in the world of art.

    One of the inspiring events of his life was when he saw a beautiful woman and was filled with love and romance. He started to capture that beauty through his painting which resulted in the painting of Mona Lisa that brought for him name and fame. He was not only a painter, but in fact, a towering figure in the Italian renaissance. Thus, Leonardo da Vinci was undoubtedly a versatile genius, who proved himself in diverse fields, such as writing, science, music, astronomy, etc.

    Leonardo da Vinci was a genius. In the world of art and architecture as well as painting and sculpture, he acquired great eminence. Mona Lisa, Last Supper and Madonna are the world renowned paintings of Leonardo da Vinci. The painting of Mona Lisa is preserved in the famous Louvre museum of Paris. The viewers get enchanted by viewing the beauty of the painting.

Leonardo da Vinci also made contribution in astronomy and geography. Besides, he was the first, who dreamed of the idea of parachute, and many other scientific instruments. Thus, leading a wonderful life, he died in 1519.
